Can of Whoopass

here is the idea:

The following work is an imaginative and satirical take on the popular idiom “to open a can of whoopass”.   Each design imagines what a “Can of Whoopass” might look like according to the type of confrontation it pertains to.

#01 : “Straight -Beatdown: 

You shot a fair one, and you ate a fair one. You’ve got no one to blame but yourself.

#02 : “Interrogation by Secret -Police”

It’s 2005, the height of French civil unrest and another immigrant youth has been unfortunate enough to be brought in for “questioning” after the latest Clichy-sous-Bois riots.

#03 : “Femme Fatale”

Whether it’s the woman who decided to fight back or an unstable ex you’ve filed 3 protective orders against, its a problem i’m sure you can do without, so be cool.

#04 : “Diva Tantrum”

You love these interchangeable starlets and the perennial fodder they provide the tabloids, even when they’re spitting in the face of bouncers, slapping cops or beating down assistants with the blunt-edge of their blackberry

#05 : “Crown Heights Circa ‘95”

Those 3 blocks from Brooklyn Tech to the train station that would shuttle you safely back to the upper-west side was a minefield of chain-snatching, box-cutter young gun-clappas from a pre-gentrified fort green that was more synonymous with “nothing you wanna fuck with” than coffee shops and small annoying dogs.

#06 : “Y Que Loco!”

You’re twice his size and brimming with over-confidence but thats only because you haven’t factored in his ridiculous hand-speed or the blood of 10 generations of knockout prize-fighters coursing through his veins. You’ll soon enough know.

#07 : “After School Scuffle”

A rite-of-passage: the standard-issue classroom clock signifying the infamous call to arms “i’ll see you after school…Depending on the type of kid you were you had all day to be scared as shit of that 3o’clock bell or all day to hype about it.
